Robert Hoppe - Vice President
As Vice President of Loans and Real Estate, Robert Hoppe has consulted with United Methodist churches throughout the state to determine safe debt limits and loan capacities for more than 20 years. He partners with members of the Foundation’s Stewardship Services staff to develop strategies that combine fundraising with financial planning as a sound basis for construction projects and land purchases. Hoppe also oversees the asset management and real estate holdings of the Foundation. An active member of his local United Methodist church, Hoppe recently served as chair of the board of trustees and served on his congregation’s finance committee.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 1989, Hoppe worked independently in the commercial property management, oil and gas, and insurance industries. His previous experience as a small-business owner aids him in understanding the unique borrowing issues United Methodist churches and charitable institutions must consider as they plan for future ministry.
Hoppe earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is also a licensed real estate broker.
