Don Psencik joined the Foundation in 1994. While he serves as a development officer in the various services offered by the Foundation, his specialty is helping churches build permanent endowment funds and helping individuals to make estate gifts to these funds.
Before joining the Texas Methodist Foundation, Psencik served the First United Methodist Church of Temple, Texas, as the church's business administrator. Prior to that, he worked in the banking profession for approximately seventeen years.
Psencik was once quoted as saying, "If you asked 100 people why they make gifts to their church, you'd get 100 different answers. But you usually see one common thread: they want to make a difference, and if they can do so beyond their lifetimes, the gift seems to take on an even greater significance and meaning."
