GOOD $ENSE MINISTRY
The Foundation’s stewardship services staff provides training and conducts the Good $ense Budget Course for local churches throughout the state. This innovative course recognizes that in order to grow faithful givers, churches must help members become financially stable and secure, and provides the tools necessary to achieve this goal.
This course developed by the Willow Creek Association develops skills enabling church members to control their finances rather than allowing finances to control them.
The practical guidance offered through this course helps participants:
- See money as a path to spiritual growth rather than a barrier
- Set priorities to achieve financial goals
- Identify action steps to reduce expenses
- Reduce and/or eliminate debt
- Craft a personalized spending plan
Offering much more than a mere overview of budgets and finances, this course enables participants to reflect on their relationship to money as it impacts their relationship to God. Whether participants are living through financial crisis or in abundance, Good $ense is a valuable life tool for every church member.
The result: a congregation where grace, joy, and freedom surround not only finances, but abundant lives.
