Thank you for visiting the Texas Methodist Foundation's website. Your right to privacy is very important to us. We recognize that providing us with personal information is an act of trust. With this in mind, we have created a privacy policy to protect your personal information. This policy covers the website and all pages contained within owned or operated by the Texas Methodist Foundation. We encourage you to take the time to read this privacy policy and that of any website you visit.
The Texas Methodist Foundation (Foundation) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that provides resources to United Methodist churches, institutions and individuals to advance Christian ministries across the state. The Foundation is committed to: building trusting relationships with its constituents; exceeding performance expectations; and operating based on our core values of integrity, competency and servanthood.
The Foundation has a duty to protect the confidentiality of private, non-public constituent information. Respect for this right to privacy is a basic standard for all Foundation activities, including our online presence.
When you visit our website and access information, you generally remain anonymous. We do not require you to register or provide personal information in order to simply view our site.
If you visit our website and do not voluntarily enter your contact information, the Foundation will not track personal information about you such as your name and email address. If you volunteer to provide information about yourself, the Foundation will securely record that information for internal purposes only.
The Foundation tracks website usage and non-personally identifiable information (information that cannot be traced to a single, personally identifiable individual) to evaluate how well our website is reaching and serving the needs of visitors. We track how many "hits" our site receives, the average time users spend on each page along with other general statistics about how visitors are using the site. The Foundation does not share/sell any constituent information with outside individuals or organizations.
Our gift acceptance policy states: "All information concerning donors and prospective donors, including names, names of beneficiaries, amount of gift, size of estate, etc. shall be kept in strict confidence by Texas Methodist Foundation and its representatives." We observe similar policies relating to our investors and other constituents.
In order to better understand and respond to your needs or to provide you with services that may be of interest, there are occasions when we will ask for additional information from you. For example, personally identifiable information will be collected when you request a printed publication pertaining to services offered by the Foundation or when you fill out our online response card.
If you supply us with your postal address, you may receive periodic mailings from us such as newsletters or information on services and upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by sending an email to us at tmf@tmf-fdn.org or writing to us at the address shown below. Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from our mailing lists.
The Foundation may disclose user information in special cases when we have reason to believe that this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the Foundation's rights or property or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. The Foundation may disclose user information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
Any reference to a commercial or noncommercial product, process, service or company is not an endorsement or recommendation by the Foundation. We do not endorse or recommend products, services or manufacturers and assume no liability whatsoever for the use or contents of any product or service mentioned.
The Foundation is not responsible for the contents of any "off-site" Internet information referenced by or linked to the Foundation's website.
