About the Methodist Loan Fund
Where Does the Foundation Get the Money for Church Loans?
The Methodist Loan Fund
Investments in the Methodist Loan Fund from churches, agencies, and institutions have provided the seed money for the growth and stability of many United Methodist churches in the six annual conferences we serve. Investors in the fund earn competitive, often superior, interest. Churches receive the resources, through low-cost loans, they need to carry out God’s dreams for their ministry. And individual lives and communities are improved by those ministries.
The Methodist Loan Fund is also open to individual investors through the Individual Fund.
Methodist Loan Fund Investments:
- Offer returns consistently higher than bank CD and money market rates
- Provide loans to UM churches in Texas to spread the hope of Christ to more and more people
- Connect resources from faithful investors to the needs of United Methodist churches
- Are protected by strict underwriting and lending policies
