Stewardship Services

Christian stewardship is about more than money. It is a way of life. Growing churches by equipping Christian stewards is a priority for the Texas Methodist Foundation

For pastors and church leaders, we provide general stewardship consultation services at no cost. For congregations, we offer assistance with stewardship education workshops. We can also work with your church to plan, implement and maximize the effectiveness of your next annual or capital campaign. Bottom line: we enable congregations to plan how to secure the financial resources needed to expand ministries. Read about some of the churches that have taken advantage of our stewardship services.

Our stewardship programs are Biblically based and grounded in our Wesleyan heritage.  We offer innovative initiatives, proven effective in hundreds of campaigns we’ve conducted.  To assist you, the Texas Methodist Foundation provides comprehensive stewardship services in four areas:

Consulting
Educational Initiatives
Consultant Directed Workshops for Annual Giving
Consultant Directed Capital Campaigns

Our Stewardship Consultants

Consulting

Consulting services are available to clergy and lay leaders as they consider their church's stewardship and financial needs. An introduction to the full services of the Foundation is provided. Counsel and guidance for planning and conducting annual, capital and permanent fund programs is offered. Our purpose is to offer resources that strengthen and assist United Methodist churches to grow in their ministry. Consulting services are available at no cost to the church.

Educational Initiatives

A variety of educational opportunities are available to address stewardship challenges and opportunities facing local congregations. These educational activities celebrate our Biblical and Wesleyan heritage of stewardship and offer effective strategies and available resources. These educational opportunities are designed to equip clergy and lay leaders to develop practical approaches for stewardship education and emphasis. Some educational activities are offered at the conference and district level. There is no cost for most educational initiatives.

Consultant Directed Workshops
for Annual Giving

Foundation Stewardship consultants conduct workshops for annual campaigns and year around stewardship education and emphasis. These workshops review the church's recent history of stewardship emphasis. Effective approaches and available resources are introduced. Guided discussion will enable church leaders to select and/or custom design a stewardship emphasis for the church's annual budget needs. A plan for year around stewardship education and emphasis will also be developed. A modest fee may be charged for this service.

Consultant Directed Capital Campaigns

Foundation Stewardship consultants are available to design and direct capital stewardship campaigns. Using proven approaches, each capital campaign is custom designed. Every activity of the campaign is resourced and managed by the Foundation staff. A fee is charged for this service indexed to the church's annual budget income.
