One of the ways TMF's Leadership Ministry stewards potential is by providing platforms for conversations for the sake of strengthening leadership and discipleship at every level of the church. These conversations support and encourage leaders to take risks for the sake of the purpose of the church versus minimizing risks for the sake of preserving the institution.
As a part of that ongoing effort, on March 7-8, 2017, TMF held a gathering of large church leaders who face the challenges of managing the health and vitality of the congregation during a time of denominational uncertainty. The two-day “Big Tent” event in Dallas created space for leaders to discern and share best practices for leading congregations that engage a diverse audience of parishioners.
Listen to these participants' reflections on the value of this conversation in their interviews with Bishop Janice Riggle Huie.
