Rev. John Thornburg brings 35 years of ministry experience in diverse settings both in the United States and in West Africa. He calls himself a ‘professional encourager’ and loves to work with congregations in the Holy Conversations strategic planning process, as well as representing all of the traditional financial and leadership services of TMF.
Rev. Melvin Amerson

The Rev. Melvin Amerson brings a wealth of knowledge gleaned as a United Methodist pastor and an active participant in the Texas Annual Conference to his work as a stewardship consultant for the Texas Methodist Foundation.
Richard Edwards Northwest Texas
Senior Area Representative for the Northwest Texas Conference
Richard grew up in the United Methodist Church and has served as a pastor and district superintendent for over 40 years. He brings a deep knowledge of both local church and “beyond the local church” issues. He has a deep concern for the financial stability of the church and hopes to help church build on that stability, by creating an “owned stewardship” by members and participants of the church.

Tom Stanton has worked in inner-city and international ministry projects for more than 30 years. He served for 10 years as a Chancellor to a United Methodist Conference and now serves as General Counsel for TMF.

As Conference Lay Leader, Leah worked with the Bishop and Cabinet, building and working toward implementation of a new vision, mission and core values for the Annual Conference.
Scott Sharp New Mexico
Senior Area Representative for the New Mexico Conference
An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Sharp has served for the past 30 years in five pastoral appointments in Oklahoma and New Mexico, as well as in youth and campus ministries.
